Eisman Number One in Clean Election Survey

Political analyst Jack Lohman asks, “Who won the Fall 2006 Government Ethics Voter Guide Questionnaire distributed by League of Women Voters, Wisconsin Democracy Campaign and other state reform groups?” and his answer clearly indicates that Nelson Eisman, the Wisconsin Green Party candidate, gets the “best-in-class” ribbon among the three gubernatorial candidates.

On his popular website www.ThrowTheRascalsOut.org, Lohman examines candidates and their politics with a nonpartisan critical eye, looking for positive change. No one can accuse Lohman of being a card-carrying member of the Green party. To the contrary, in his recent book, Politician: Owned & Operated by Corporate America – Why Campaign Reform is Crucial to the U.S. Economy and National Security! Lohman admits he “voted for Bush... in two presidential elections.”

Yet Lohman likes what he sees in Nelson Eisman.

“We need political balance,” Lohman says, “and if the state legislature is going to be controlled by the current duopoly, that balance has to be at the top. The two parties created our current disconnect with the people, and only an independent thinker at the top will allow the people to regain ownership of their government. Hopefully the media will let us hear from Eisman.”

George Penn, another independent activist that heads the Wisconsin Group for an Independent Voice, says, “Albert Einstein once said that you can’t solve problems with the same level of thinking that created them, and Eisman is the only candidate that can tip the scales back toward the public interest. He needs strong consideration by the voters.”

Perhaps this line of thinking will encourage the scientific polling community to include Eisman in their upcoming efforts. In addition to news media, debates, polls and Blogs are important resources for voters trying to decide whom to support on Election Day.
